In part two of the Six Sigma webinar series, we will demonstrate three practical models that will give competitive advantage to any production or design process within a manufacturing environment. These models can equally be applied to processes within the service industry.

• Selecting and ordering projects within a portfolio by priority to optimize output (Six Sigma with RISKOptimizer)
• Design optimization of a liquid pump with Six Sigma – pump design optimization example (Six Sigma with RISKOptimizer)
• Process optimization with Design of Experiment (DOE) to create a robust design (Six Sigma with @RISK and DecisionTools Suite)

We will introduce RISKOptimizer within @RISK and DecisionTools Suite which enables Stochastic optimization and is a step beyond Monte Carlo simulation. Stochastic optimization is useful when you have uncertain variables in your optimization as opposed to deterministic optimization, which can be performed with Excel solver.

In the webinar, we will answer questions such as:

• Among the different projects of a project portfolio, which Six Sigma projects should I start in priority in order to maximize my overall Economic Value Added while meeting budget and staffing constraints?
• How should I design a liquid pump in order to maximize the flow rate forecast while maintaining a certain level of quality and minimizing cost of purchased components ?
• How do I find robust solutions among the different solutions found by a Design Of Experiments (DOE) used for process optimization.
